Tucker Models 2 Build

Postby John K » Mon May 19, 2003 10:24 am

Dave:
I've seen only two model kits, of any kind, of Tuckers. One is a 1/24 resin kit (a body shell, interior bucket, bumpers, etc.) available from "The Modelhaus" in Illinois at over $50.00. The other is called "Triclops", and is also a 1/24 scale resin model, I believe, and is a modernized, hot-rod version of a Tucker. I personally don't like the lines of the Modelhaus kit, which was featured in "Fine Scale Modeler" magazine in December of '92. The guy sculpted his own clay model, then made a mold of it to make castings. I really don't like the "Triclops" much either, but others do! I'm hard to please sometimes-- especially after getting the sensational Kyosho die-cast Tucker model!
Tucker Hot Wheels

Postby TBone » Thu Jul 31, 2003 10:59 am

This is my very first time visiting this website, and I have my father (an avid Tucker fan) to thank(!) for it. What a FANTASTIC idea to have a Tucker from Hot Wheels!! Wonderful! I'll throw my hat in the ring, too. Let's see if we can make this become a reality!
Regards and Good Luck!

Hot Wheels Tucker??? You folks GOTTA be kiddin' me!!! Hot Wheels would screw this thing up as bad as they do the rest of their plastic based "real car" dollar, line.

You want a TUCKER?? Check out the latest offering from Johnny Lightning. ALL metal body and base, transparent Aqua paint over chrome, with white lettered rubber tires and incredible detailing.

This is thought by many to be one of the best 1/64th diecast cars EVER done...period. Cost?? Three bucks...

Hot Wheels...PLEASE!!!
Johnny Lightning has actually two Tuckers in the 1/64 scale.

Classic Gold #19 - features a waltz blue Tucker and photo of Tucker #1047 (Gilmore Car Museum's) and is very well detailed.

Holiday Classic #7 - is the same car in a chrome-like green finish with white lettered tires. It comes with a plastic clip to make it a Christmas Ornament.
Looking for Hot Wheels Tucker

Postby John K. » Tue Nov 29, 2005 10:43 pm

Please check out the June 27, 2005 post about the "Professor Plum" Tucker made by Johnny Lightning. I see from eBay listings and such that J.L. has put Tuckers out in several different paint schemes. Of course they're not actual Hot Wheels, but I believe they're in the same scale and are the same type of fast-rolling diecast model. I love mine!

I also own a Johnny Lightning Tucker, i bought it at Walmart for a little over a buck. It has no opening doors or any other goodies, but it does come in a nice gold paintjob. They are relatively easy to find.
